Graeme Clark - Debut album
You
might not know the name but chances
are, you know his music. Graeme
Clark is a founder member, Bass
Player and Songwriter with the
multi-million selling band
Wet Wet Wet – the band that
during the late 1980’s and through
the 1990’s produced 30 hit singles –
including 3 number ones – and 4
number one albums. The Wets
disbanded in 1999, and having
resolved their issues, reformed,
toured and continue to discuss
future efforts.

In recent years however,
Graeme has decided to write songs
for his own use. And while his
lyrical and musical influences on
Wet Wet Wet music is clear, his
recent writing has more of his roots
influencing the melodic soul than
before. Free from the limitations
that a successful band can bring,
his music is flourishing and
exhibiting the best of his
creative seams.
“His stripped back
renditions....
highlighted
a fresh his talent for pop songcraft”
The Scotsman.

Tom Moriarty
Tom Moriarty
recently released his debut single,
entitled Fire In the Doll’s
House on Driftwood Records.
With echoes of John Martyn,
Bob Dylan and Paul
Rodgers, Tom’s huskily
emotional vocals recall days of
protest songs when music was the
true voice of the people.
Fire In the Dolls House is a
pure slice of rock with blues and
folk influences, that heralds the
arrival of a brand new songwriting
talent to the stage.
Fire In the Dolls House is a
touchstone for everyone alive today
states Tom, “It's about how everyone
seems to be blind to what's going on
in the world and we need to wake up
to the fact that we're all in this
together.”

Fire In the Dolls
House is the lead single to be
released from the album of the same
name, that was recorded at the
legendary Studio 2 at Abbey Road and
will be released in early 2011. The
album is infused with emotion and
contains a lifetime of experiences
in every groove.

Jo Hamilton
Jo Hamilton releases a special
edition of her critically acclaimed
album Gown.
The special edition of Gown will
feature additional tracks and a new
multi-page PDF booklet containing
photographs taken by Jo during her
travels and the course of the last
year. The additional tracks are:
Alive Alive / Release Us (live)
/ Think of Me (radio mix).
Award winning Jo Hamilton is an
enigma. Occasionally compared to
Goldfrapp or even Bjork, she’s more
likely to crash into your
consciousness as some kind of
perfectly imagined symbiosis of K.D.
Lang fronting Sigur Ros. Stemming
from a nomadic family with roots in
both Kenya and Jamaica, Jo was
brought up in a house two miles from
the nearest neighbour in the wilds
of northern Scotland. A snapshot of
the intensity of this wilderness is
revealed by Jo herself:
“There were three of us in our one-room primary school at the top of a
hill in the Highlands. With our
teacher from the Isle of Skye, we
sang together, nostalgic old Gaelic
lullabies and island folk songs
about the land, sea, and returning
home, while in the distance we could
hear the roars of the rutting
stags.”

Singular and
unforgettable, Hamilton is quite a

Monthly Journal
When American-born singer/songwriter and notorious mad inventor Thomas Truax started his innovative 'Monthly Journal' song project in January 2011, he wasn't anticipating such a turbulent and challenging year ahead. His father died in March ('March Winds'), a 5-year love relationship broke up in June ('Lost On The Moon In June'), and more recently he was forced to leave England which he has called home for the past several years due to tightening UK visa restrictions. Add to this the political, economic and social unrest of the past year, and there was no shortage of substance from which Truax could draw inspiration for this unique project. "Having committed to the monthly songs probably kept me sane," explained Thomas to DJ Mark Radcliffe when interviewed on his BBC6 daytime show recently, "It was like the proverbial firmly-rooted tree I could hang on to to keep from being completely swept up by the tornado."

"Genius." –NME
"He's a serious
proposition." –
