Manilla PR work with a diverse group of artists, labels and bands at various levels in the music industry. Our 2008 roster includes :

Folk

2008 will see two new singles from the 2007 Glasswerk Folk Artist of the Year Marsha Swanson plus a brand new video which you can expect to see soon. A new album is out now from Irish trail blazers Kila and you can expect to see widespread coverage of the band and the Kila Records label this year. Nigel Clothier releases his much anticipated first single in 2008 and debut album.

Rock

Ripping down indie fences with their break neck live show, 2008 will see China Dogs release their debut EP. Expect The Tusken Coalition to continue tearing up the text book in 2008. Their debut album Self Titled received wall to wall plaudits upon release last year. Essex band Collaborator have a new release planned and as always their will be numerous live dates to catch the band this year. Dr Slaggleberry release their new EP in the first quarter of 2008, expect chaos and destruction. New releases are also pending for Grace Solero as the band embark on a year long march into the national media. This year will also see new releases and tour dates from The Hustle, Primitai, The Crucible and Severe Zero. Nothing Gained's debut album is also out and you can expect widespread coverage.

Indie

2008 is the year Lizzyspit makes her debut in the UK media with her new single and album. The Lazarus Plot make a serious assault on UK radio this year and you can expect to hear the band on the national airwaves in the near future. Young bands Middlehill and Sunflies all release in 2008 and all take to the road at various stages this year. Media favourite Peter Brame release his debut single Alcoholic's Love Song this year as well as unveiling his breath taking debut album. New releases can also be expected from XFM favourites The Scratch and Edinburgh based four piece Universal You. This year will also see the Smith 6079 juggernaught rumble on with new single and an album release you can expect the usual share of good music, sleaze and good times. More catchy melody drenched songs can be expected with Musicroll Exchanges new single. Manilla PR are pleased to announce that we are working with Domino Records spin off label Double Six on the The Laurel Collective's debut single.

Jazz

Expect to see Zoo build on their award for Jazz artist of the Year in 2007 with new releases, tour dates and national exposure on specialist Radio 2 + 3 shows.

Alternative

Millimetre produced one of the albums of 2007, expect the Irish genius to continue the same upward journey this year. Moonshot also follow up the release of Uncertain Weather with more new material and live dates in 08. The Basilica Record label continues to produce a conveyor belt of ground breaking artists, expect major releases from Paul K and Izzie Voodoo.
Lack of Afro release what promises to be one of the singles of the year when they release Touch My Soul. Ebenus releases his long awaited dance funk single Afterparty, another unique release comes in the form of The Indigo Road with their debut single.

Past Campaigns

Manilla PR has handled a wide ranging selection of campaigns in the last three years including indie acts such as David Garside, Exile Parade, Make It Better Later, Stillman, BabyPinkStar, Heather Greene, Too Much Texas and many more. Rock acts that Manilla PR has helped establish include Elena, RSJ, Jack Viper, Hardcore Superstar and Liv Kristine.

Labels we have worked with on past releases include Arch Angel, Hackpen Records, Fat Northerner Records, Hangmans Joke Records, NZW records and many more.

The major campaign of last year was Koopa who became the first unsigned band to make it into the Top 20 and we were proud the be the PR company behind every Koopa release in 2007. Good luck in the USA boys!
